To work in an assembly line is not always an easy task, especially within an automobile assembly environment. Teamwork is of paramount importance and stress must be handled successfully. Since an automobile assembly line is usually a moving context, it is important that everybody on the team is concentrated and able to work quickly and efficiently together.

• Position and fasten together automobile subassemblies including side frames, underbodies, doors, hoods and handles.

 

• Ascertain that the body welding process is properly carried out by ensuring that all subassemblies are properly tightened and fitted.

 

• Bolt, screw and clip parts together in order to form subassemblies, including panels, steering columns and axle units.

 

• Handle door fitting and adjusting duties, seal joints and seams as per specifications.

 

• Fasten seat belts, door panels and carpeting into position and install mechanical and electrical components and systems.

 

• Ascertain that vehicle systems are filled with brake and transmission fluids, along with ensuring presence of engine coolants and oils.

 

• Verify quality of own work by performing industry approved quality assurance tests at all levels.

 

• Use machinery and tools to fabricate and adjust automobile parts together and ensure that any issues or constraints are timely communicated to the supervisor.

 

• Ascertain that all machinery and tools used are maintained properly (general and preventative maintenance) and stored in appropriate areas.

 

• Inspect and test parts after assembly work has finished, in order to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
